MATL LLP requests that the MATL Expansion project, as submitted in the 2026–2027 NorthernGrid data submittal, be included for evaluation in the regional planning analysis. The project consists of installing two phase‑shifting transformers at the Hay Lake facility in Montana, providing approximately 600 MW of total transfer capability.
